To fulfil your higher purpose, you must first experience your own uniqueness and see without a flicker of doubt why you are so needed in this cosmic story. This is why it is essential to get in touch with who you are as a unique expression of Consciousness.
Activities such as journaling, dream work, and reflective meditation connect us to the thoughts, beliefs, aspirations, talents, strengths, weaknesses, habits, and actions that pave our way of Being. This, in turn, allows us to be more mindful of the alignment of our actions with our desires and our purpose. Below are some fun and introspective ways to connect with yourself. I will add more from time to time.
While it's illuminating to understand yourself through a set of characteristics or personality traits, it's exciting to understand yourself through characteristics of the physical world. Build a Pinterest board that symbolises who you are in colour, texture, form, material, movement etc. Do you swirl, or are you straight lines? Are you mysterious colours, or effervescent pastels? Don't think too hard about why you choose the images you choose; just select the ones that resonate and make you feel something.
When we begin to mine our experience for who we really are, we most likely start to think of characteristics that we believe we possess. Build a list of characteristics or personality traits that you resonate with. Contemplate on the experiences in which you demonstrated those traits. Was there an underlying motivation to show up that way? If so, consider a different characteristic that more accurately describes you. Ultimately, you will wind up with a list of characteristics that are inherent to you without any cause.
If you don't already maintain a daily journal, ceremoniously go and buy one, along with a really great pen, light a candle, take a few deep breaths or do a meditation, and mindfully begin a practice of journaling. Doing this ceremoniously means doing it with intention in the manner that feels most "special" to you. Set aside time each day to write in your journal even if the only thing you can write is a few words to describe your present state or your day or why you find it challenging to journal! While you're at it, get one just for your nightly dreams.

Which of these do you feel often?
As we try to understand who we are through our own lens, it can be equally revealing to ask our dear ones how they see us. Ask five friends to write your eulogy. They may look at you funny, but promise them one in return! In their eyes, who were you? How did you live? What will they miss about you? What did you add to their lives? Why did they love you so?
